Office Politics

Once again, I am quite retarded in realizing I had stood too far from the crowd.

Office politics, finally I experienced it so vividly in this small company these days. After discussing with S, I learned that it appears in nearly all companies. Her experiences told me that since people are too bored at work, they need some juicy and nasty topics to balance the dry environment. They need a figure which they can point their fingers on with that they can make fun of. There need to be a subject to offer this function in the company. If their choose subject rejects to play along, he or she would be in trouble. There must be some dramas, you must offer some part of your personal life to the company to entertain their boring life. This is office politics.

Bang! It's like a bowl of cold water pouring on my head! What a brand new experience to me! You want to stand alone? You have a price to pay. And sometimes, you can't afford it and you will have to quit. Life is hard but that's the way it goes. I begin to understand more while my feelings begin to lose. I don't know how long I can hold on to. Every tomorrow from now is a tough day. Bad roads ahead. I am warning myself here and now. At the same time telling myself it's not a big deal at all.
