Vilnius

The overnight bus almost killed me. I am totally exhausted today. Great that Vilnius  is not that big that I can manage easily with a day a or two. I guess most people here are not planning to do many things since its just a small city. Despite its size, there are plenty of restaurant and most of them are have their half seats filled up already when I come back.

I am getting tired these days. I think it's time to plan my return ticket.

Bus delayed

My bus from Warsaw to Vilnius will be delayed by one hour which makes the hot day even hotter and longer. I heard people waiting at the bus stop talking how to spend the hour already. Rather than just waiting outside, I decided to go to my lovely place, McDonald's, to do something rather meaningful- writing this journey.

I have 7.06 zlotes which equals about €1.85. Rather than keeping all the currency and bring them all my journey, I prefer spend it all before I leave the country. I usually feel kind of perfect if i can spend everything single scent precisely at the last moment. The best place to use it accurately is to spend it at the supermarket since you can calculate the price and add them all together to make it equal to the total amount you have left.

It's too late for today though, supermarkets have all closed. I am going to spend it here and now, at the McDonald's!

Waiting to leave for Vilnius

Today I finally got the chance to sit down and write something. It's been exceptionally hot and humid during my 4-day's staying in Warsaw which put me down in doing any sightseeing. Besides, I have actually done enough for this city.

It's been more than two months since I left Ireland for this Europe journey. Thinking back, time still flies cruelly but I truly treasure it. It was still so bloody cold on the day I left. I feel terribly hot here. I have travelled through four seasons. If I flick back the days that has passed in the last two months, I can make up a lot of memories for my future though not everyday is nice and pleasant. There were ups and downs, some place worth visiting again some were not, some people I will make friends with them while some would never see each other again...etc.

Warsaw

Warsaw is a boring city which doesn't have much to offer. It is my third day here and I already feel too much. I have another full day since my bus leaves tomorrow night.

The buildings in this city are so ugly. Most of them are in post war style means they are simply huge rectangular blocks without any aesthetics. The place of culture and science is the icon of the city located at the centre. Like many other buildings, it's was built in Stalin's time and so it's got the most topical Stalin style. When I saw it on my first arrival, I felt kind of odd. It seems its the centre of some evil organisation to me. I think it was.

I have decided to move on to the three small countries, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia as well as St. Peter's in this journey. These countries are small and far in the north that I don't think I would have any will or reason to visit them in the future. So I do it for the first and last.
